Issue Planning​

code-assist-issue-planning

Purpose:

  • validate issue events;
  • inspect repo context through Codex;
  • create an implementation plan;
  • post the plan to the issue;
  • label the issue plan-ready;
  • optionally auto-start implementation when autonomy policy allows.

Issue Implementation​

Purpose:

  • validate that a trusted actor requested implementation;
  • create a bot-owned branch and worktree;
  • call Codex to implement the approved plan;
  • run deterministic tests;
  • triage and repair failures when possible;
  • commit, push, open a draft PR;
  • start the configured X4 sandbox;
  • post the implementation handoff.

PR Follow-Up​

code-assist-pr-followup

Purpose:

  • respond to trusted PR comments;
  • respond to blocking review findings;
  • handle failed checks when retry budget remains;
  • finalize auto-merge or direct merge when checks and policy allow;
  • handle cleanup and promotion workflow events.

PR Testing​

Purpose:

  • run named deterministic commands in an existing repo/worktree;
  • collect stdout/stderr, exit code, duration, tier, and summary;
  • support focused command sets through generic free-text commands.

Test Triage​

Purpose:

  • inspect a failed testing result;
  • navigate the worktree in read-only mode;
  • classify the failure;
  • return suspected files, proposed changes, rerun commands, and whether another implementation pass should run.
